Nigeria, Sept. 24 -- The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Samsideen "Shamelon" Oladiti, a leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), on allegations of assault and murder.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Public Relations Officer, Babaseyi Oluseyi, and posted on the command's official X page on Friday, the police disclosed that Shamelon allegedly committed the offences on 17 and 18 September, respectively, on Lagos Island.
Mr Oluseyi added that the 55-year-old is currently held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti-Yaba, where discreet investigations are ongoing into the two cases.
