Nigeria, Aug. 30 -- The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has listed Musa Angbazo as the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for the 2027 Nasarawa State governorship election.

But the campaign organisation of former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, says the retired police chief is the authentic SDP candidate.

INEC published the list of 15 governorship candidates on Saturday.

The other candidates are Ahmed Wadada of the All Progressives Congress (APC); Dahiru Doma of the Action Peoples Party (APP); Jonathan Gbefwi of the Labour Party (LP); retired Major-General Nuhu Angbazo of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and Emmanuel Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
