Nigeria, May 2 -- Critical sectors in Cross River State, including education, youth development, and women affairs, received no capital funding in the first three months of 2026, according to the state's 2026 first-quarter budget performance report under Governor Bassey Otu.
The report shows that although the education sector has an approved capital budget of N63.5 billion for projects and programmes across 13 institutions, no funds were released for implementation within the period under review.
