Nigeria, Oct. 24 -- The Bauchi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked rumours of a political alliance with Governor Bala Mohammed, saying no political agreement exists between the party and the governor outside the official APC platform.

In a press statement issued by its state publicity secretary, Shehu Dauda, the party described claims of an understanding as baseless and urged the public to treat such reports with caution unless supported by credible evidence.

The APC noted Governor Mohammed's continued association with and campaigning alongside candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), including its presidential candidate.
