Amusan finishes second at Athlos London, earns $35,000
Nigeria, Sept. 19 -- Tobi Amusan signed off her 2026 season with a second-place finish in the women's 100m hurdles at the Athlos meeting in London on Friday, earning $35,000 for her efforts.
The Nigerian clocked 12.51 seconds (+1.2m/s) at StoneX Stadium in Barnet, finishing just 0.01 seconds behind American Alaysha Johnson, who took victory in 12.50 seconds.
The victory capped a remarkable season for Johnson, who was competing in her 40th race of the year.
Amusan, a former world record holder, had been confirmed for the Athlos meeting in August and faced a strong line-up in the final race of her season.
