Nigeria, Sept. 15 -- The planned arraignment of activist Omoyele Sowore stalled again on Monday at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The defence raised a preliminary objection, arguing that Sahara Reporters listed as a co-defendant is not a legal entity in Nigeria, therefore, cannot stand trial or take plea in Nigeria.
However, the prosecution cited section 396 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA), insisting that Mr Sowore and Sahara reporters should take their plea before raising any preliminary objection.
However, the judge said it needed time to review the arguments.
He then adjourned the case until 23 October.
