Nigeria, June 24 -- Nafisat Hammed, the estranged wife of actor Akin Olaiya, has broken her silence regarding the marriage, which lasted less than a year.

Olaiya married Nafisat in June 2025 in a ceremony held in Oyo State; videos from the event subsequently circulated online.

A widely circulated letter, purportedly signed by the actor and appearing on social media, confirmed the dissolution of the marriage.

The actor, however, did not post the letter on his own social media pages, casting doubt on whether the union had truly ended. But Nafisat dispelled all uncertainty in a viral video obtained by PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday, confirming she had left the marriage for good.
