Nigeria, Sept. 19 -- A suspected case of viral haemorrhagic fever reported at Nisa Premier Hospital in Abuja, tested negative.
Ibrahim Wada, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nisa Medical Group, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Abuja.
Mr Wada said that the patient, a 32-year-old man, who was presented with fever, bleeding, and other concerning symptoms, was immediately isolated upon arrival at the hospital.
He said that the hospital promptly alerted the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), which carried out tests to determine if the case was linked to viral haemorrhagic fevers such as Ebola, Marburg, Dengue, or Lassa fever.
