Nigeria, Nov. 4 -- Abdulrahman Mohammed, the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said the party's nominations at all levels were conducted smoothly.

He did not, however, address the omission of the party's governorship candidate in Ogun State, Ladi Adebutu, from the list published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Mr Mohammed commended the party's state chairmen for the successful nomination of candidates for the 2027 general election, expressing confidence that PDP candidates would win elections in all categories in which the party is fielding candidates in 2027, despite the party's support for the Rainbow Coalition, campaigning for President Bola Tinubu's re-election.
