Nigeria, Aug. 16 -- The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, has won Obokun Local Government Area in the ongoing Osun governorship election.

Mr Oyebamiji defeated his closest challenger, the Accord Party candidate and incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, by 4,097 votes.

According to the final result announced at the Obokun LGA collation centre at about 11:15 p.m., the APC polled 16,120 votes, while the Accord Party secured 12,023 votes.

A total of 29,147 votes were cast, comprising 28,687 valid votes and 460 rejected votes.
