Nigeria, Aug. 15 -- Francis Fadahunsi, the senator representing Osun East in the National Assembly, has cast his ballot at his polling unit in Ilase, Obokun Local Government Area, during Saturday's Osun State governorship election.

Mr Fadahunsi, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), arrived at Polling Unit 001, Ilase NUD Primary School, Ward 04, at about 10:40 a.m. and voted alongside other registered voters.

After voting, the lawmaker urged polling agents and his supporters to monitor the voting process and know for whom voters cast their ballots.

He also made a controversial remark suggesting that residents who did not vote for his party should not be regarded as indigenes of Ilase.
