Nigeria, Aug. 16 -- The re-elected Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has promised residents that he will not disappoint them after securing a second term in office, pledging to build on his administration's achievements and address its shortcomings.

Mr Adeleke made the commitment on Sunday during a press conference in Osogbo, shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared him the winner of the 15 August governorship election.

"As you have trusted me again for the second term in office, I will not disappoint you," he said.

He added: "To serve you better, I will reinforce my strong points and correct my errors under my renewed five-point agenda."
