Nigeria, Sept. 19 -- Thirty-three years after its original release, Mount Zion Faith Ministries' classic film "Agbara Nla" has returned in a new version.

The original movie premiered in 1993, before its English-language adaptation, "The Ultimate Power", was released in 1994.

The remake, titled "Agbara Nla: The Return", is scheduled to hit cinemas nationwide on 1 October. Mike Bamiloye will reprise his role as Isawuru, while the new production adapts the original storyline to reflect contemporary realities.

Filmmaker Damilola Bamiloye told Punch on Saturday that he and his brother, Joshua, decided to revisit their father's classic from the 1990s after discussing the possibility of remaking some of his earlier films.
