Watterson Construction Wins $123.8 Million Fort Wainwright Barracks Contract

United States, Nov. 6 -- Watterson Construction Co., Anchorage, Alaska, was awarded a $123,793,000 firm-fixed-price contract to construct a barracks to accommodate 320 soldiers.Bids were solicited via the internet with four received. Work will be performed in Fort Wainwright, Alaska, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 15, 2029.Fiscal 2010 military construction, Army funds in the amount of $123,793,000 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Anchorage, Alaska, is the contracting activity (W911KB-27-C-A002).
