Sweden, June 23 -- Veidekke has been awarded a contract to construct an approximately 600-metre -long access tunnel for the new Yellow Line on the Stockholm metro. The project, commissioned by the Region Stockholm administration, is an execution contract with a value of approximately SEK 150 million. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2028.The scope of work includes construction of an access tunnel through approximately 600 metres of soil and rock leading to the new Årstaberg metro station. Following establishment of the tunnel portal,the tunnel will be excavated through rock down to the new station.
