University of New Mexico Awarded $27.4 Million for Nuclear Systems, Command and Control Work

United States, Aug. 24 -- University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been awarded a $27,408,016 cost-no-fee contract for Nuclear Systems Development, Nuclear Systems Integration, Nuclear System Flight Testing and Evaluation, and Nuclear Command, Control, and Communication.Work will be performed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 24, 2031. This contract was a competitive acquisition, and one offer was received. Fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $344,167 are being obligated at time of award.The Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, is the contracting activity (FA9453-26-C-X021).
