Germany, Feb. 11 -- thyssenkrupp's Automotive division celebrated the opening of a new plant in Allershausen, marking another milestone in the expansion of its production and logistics network in Germany. Located just north of Munich, the site is dedicated to assembling front and rear axles for new BMW vehicle generations. Among the guests at the opening ceremony was Bavarian Minister President Dr. Markus Soder. With a total area of around 19,000 square meters for logistics and production, the plant is designed for efficient, highly automated axle assembly. thyssenkrupp has invested a mid-double-digit million euro amount in equipment and facilities.
