Signing of Japanese ODA Loan Agreement with India: Contributing to Development of Urban and Rural Areas in India through Promotion of Japan-India Collaboration
India, March 25 -- On March 24, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a loan agreement with the Government of the Republic of India in the capital city New Delhi, to provide Japanese ODA loan for the following 4 projects. The signatures were exchanged between Joint Secretary Alok Tiwari, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance Government of the Republic of India and Chief Representative Takeuchi Takuro of JICA India.These projects aim to improve the business and living environment in India's urban areas where many Japanese companies have established a presence, through the development of metro systems that ensure high visibility of Japan's assistance.
