Germany, July 30 -- Siemens Mobility, as leader of a consortium formed together with ELSITEL and IMSAT, has been awarded three major contracts for the modernization of railway signaling and interlocking systems in Romania. The contracts were awarded through competitive public procurement procedures by Romania's railway infrastructure manager CFR SA. Together, the three contracts have a total value of approximately EUR 308 million and form one of the most comprehensive signaling modernization programs currently underway in Romania.
