Large-scale solar project in Uzbekistan connected to grid at full capacity
Uzbekistan, Feb. 9 -- A 500-megawatt solar project in Jizzakh, Uzbekistan, built with by CSCEC and other companies, has recently been connected to the power grid at full capacity. One of the largest photovoltaic projects in Uzbekistan, the project covers a total area of 10.83 million square meters. After reaching full capacity, it is expected to generate more than 1.1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually over a 25-year operating period. The project is projected to save about 341,700 metric tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 936,300 metric tons each year, easing power supply pressure in surrounding areas and supporting the country's green and low-carbon development. To ensure long-term stable o...
