Australia, May 27 -- KfW IPEX-Bank is contributing as Mandated Lead Arranger within an international banking consortium to support the construction and operation of solar and battery storage projects in the Australian state of Queensland.The "Smoky Creek" and "Guthrie's Gap" projects developed by Edify Energy will have a combined solar capacity of 720 MWp and battery storage capacity of 600 MW / 2,400 MWh. The solar and BESS plants are connected by state-of-the-art direct current connection ("DC coupling"), thereby minimising conversion losses.Thanks to European exports of inverters from the Spanish manufacturer Power Electronics S.L., the European PV/BESS ecosystem is also being supported.
