Hydro and Varberg Energi enter pilot agreement for hybrid power supply
Norway, Aug. 18 -- Hydro Energi AS and Varberg Energi have signed a hybrid power contract where Varberg Energi will deliver electricity from its own wind and solar generation, complemented by energy storage capacity to Hydro.The hybrid power purchase agreement (PPA) with Varberg Energi is an innovative way of securing a more balanced delivery profile, reducing variability and securing stable supply from intermittent renewable energy sources for industrial consumption.
