United States, July 1 -- General Electric Co., Lynn, Massachusetts, was awarded a $77,780,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for continued engineering and manufacturing development efforts under the Improved Turbine Engine Program.The amount of this action brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $963,769,255. Bids were solicited via the internet with two received. Work will be performed in Lynn, Massachusetts, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2029.Fiscal 2026 research, development, test, and evaluation, Army funds in the amount of $77,780,000 were obligated at the time of the award.
