GE Aviation Systems Awarded $33 Million Contract for F-16 Data Recorder Redesign

United States, Sept. 22 -- GE Aviation Systems LLC, Grand Rapids, Michigan, was awarded a $33,039,731 firm-fixed-price contract for the JEDAI program crash survivable data recorder redesign. This contract provides for the redesign of the crash survivable data recorder for the F-16 aircraft.Work will be performed at Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is expected to be completed by September 21, 2031. This contract was a sole source acquisition. Fiscal 2026 Working Capital funds in the amount of $33,039,731 are being obligated at time of award.The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (FA8232-26-C-B011).
