North Macedonia, Dec. 18 -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is strengthening its support for green finance in North Macedonia with a new €8 million loan to Sparkasse Bank Skopje under the Green Finance Facility (GFF). The funds will enable Sparkasse Bank to on lend to local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, supporting the country's transition to a greener and more competitive economy.The GFF is a programme financed by the Joint SDG Fund, the government of North Macedonia, the EBRD and local partner financial institutions, and is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme, the International Organization for Migration, th...
