Philippines, Aug. 26 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has issued a Japanese yen (JPY) denominated water theme bond to finance projects supporting sustainable agriculture, water resource management, and food security in Asia and the Pacific. This is the first yen-denominated thematic issuance and third largest yen issuance of ADB.The JPY20 billion ($126 million equivalent) 7-year issue was purchased by Zenkyoren (National Mutual Insurance Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives) and arranged by Daiwa Capital Markets Europe Limited.
