Philippines, Aug. 17 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $5 million financing package with Federated States of Micronesia Development Bank (FSMDB) to expand access to finance for women-led small and medium-sized enterprises (WSMEs) in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).The FSMDB Increasing Access to Finance for SMEs Project will scale lending for underserved small businesses nationwide, with at least 50% of financing allocated to WSMEs to enable them to sustain and grow their businesses. Grant-funded technical assistance will provide training for at least 250 WSMEs, support the development of an FSMDB women-focused financial product, and digitalize FSMDB's loan monitoring and collection systems.
