India, May 2 -- Singer Zayn Malik has cancelled all his upcoming US tour shows following a recent hospitalisation due to an undisclosed illness.

The former One Direction member shared the update with fans through an Instagram story, assuring them that he is currently recovering and feeling better.

"Thank you so much for all the support and love. I've been at home recovering, and I'm doing well and will be better and stronger than before," the singer said in his message.

Malik added that he has reassessed his schedule for the coming months and decided to reduce the number of performances on his "Konnakol" album tour to prioritise his health. He expressed hope of meeting fans soon and continuing the tour where possible.
