India, April 2 -- Young scientist programme, Yuva Vigyani Karyakram (YUVIKA), has benefitted a total of 1,320 students so far, reflecting the growing enthusiasm among young learners for space-related disciplines, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Wednesday.

In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, the minister stated that the programme targeted Class 9 students across the country, aiming to provide them with a foundational understanding of space science, technology, and applications, while also motivating them to consider space science as a future career option.
