India, Aug. 8 -- Women from different parts of Delhi visited the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Friday and tied rakhi on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's wrist and hailed the recently launched Delhi Laxmi Yojana as a step towards women's dignity and economic empowerment.

Ahead of the Monsoon Session of the Assembly and the festival of Raksha Bandhan, a large number of women gathered here and garlanded the Chief Minister.

According to the Government, as of 12 pm on Friday, 4,87,181 registrations were completed under the Delhi Laxmi Yojana, while 1,99,679 women had successfully submitted their applications.
