India, June 11 -- A government doctor was found dead at her residence in Jalandhar, Punjab, triggering allegations of domestic abuse, financial fraud, and marital conflict, police said.

The deceased, identified as Dr Meenakshi Sood, who was posted in Kapurthala, was discovered dead at her home in Jalandhar on Wednesday morning. Police have registered a case based on a complaint filed by her father and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
