India, Nov. 20 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi's West Zone, in an intensified enforcement drive against pollution and sanitation-related violations, issued 872 challans and collected Rs 3.78 lakh in fines between November 10 and 18. Fines imposed totalled Rs 17,86,500.
This surge in enforcement reflects the civic teams' response to persistent high pollution levels and ongoing waste-management lapses across several neighbourhoods.
Officials emphasised that the West Zone has been directed to increase checks and penalise violations affecting air quality and public hygiene.
