India, June 9 -- Terming the resolve of 'Viksit Bharat' a national pledge that requires the active cooperation of every citizen and institution, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday emphasised that laws enacted in legislatures must align with the needs and aspirations of the new generation.

Inaugurating the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-II (North Zone) Conference at the Haryana Legislative Assembly Chamber, Birla stated that India is consistently moving forward on the foundation of long-term policies backed by a stable, strong, and robust legal framework.
