India, Sept. 16 -- Uno Minda Limited, a leading automotive components and systems manufacturer, has announced four capacity expansion and consolidation projects worth a combined Rs 1,415 crore, aimed at strengthening its manufacturing base and meeting rising demand from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

The largest of the four is a greenfield aluminium casting facility on Thally Road in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, entailing an additional capex of Rs 510 crore. The company's existing Hosur plant, which supplies casting parts for two-wheelers, four-wheelers and commercial vehicles across both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) platforms, has reached its expansion limits amid strong demand from South Indian OEMs.
