India, May 22 -- Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Virendra Kumar will on Friday launch the JEEVAN mobile application for senior citizens and the SHATAYU dashboard for geriatric caregivers in a programme in which the ministry will host a virtual programme on "Creating a Well-Functioning Care Economy".

The virtual programme will focus on strengthening the country's care ecosystem through technology, community participation and policy interventions.

Department of Social Justice and Empowerment Secretary Sudhansh Pant will address the event, the ministry said in a statement.

Union Ministers of State for Social Justice and Empowerment BL Verma and Ramdas Athawale will also address participants.
