India, Sept. 16 -- A young man died by suicide along the Warangal-Hyderabad national highway near the Subedari forest office in Hanumakonda on Tuesday, September 15, police said.

The incident was reported around 4.30 pm on a busy stretch of the highway. Subedari police reached the spot after being alerted and examined the scene.

The identity of the deceased remains unknown. Subedari Circle Inspector Ranjith Kumar said the man is believed to have been a transient, and that efforts are under way to trace his identity. Police recovered a mobile phone from the deceased but have been unable to access it, as it is password-protected.
