India, June 23 -- US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington will take necessary action if Iran fails to comply with the terms of the recently signed interim agreement between the two countries.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said the United States expects Iran to honour its commitments under the deal reached last week with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. "If Iran doesn't live up to their agreement, or if they're not behaving, I will do what I have to do," Trump said.

The interim agreement was signed more than three months after the conflict involving the US, Israel and Iran escalated tensions across the Middle East. The deal is aimed at reducing hostilities and creating a pathway for broader diplomatic engagement.
