India, Nov. 3 -- US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will stop providing annual financial and military assistance to Israel by the end of 2026, claiming that he reached an agreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the funding.

Speaking to Fox News' Fox & Friends on Tuesday, Trump said the two leaders had agreed months ago to discontinue the assistance, which he put at around $4 billion annually.

"We've already agreed that by the end of this year we won't be paying Israel. Now we'll help Israel if they need it," Trump said.
