India, June 15 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Kolkata on Monday for questioning in connection with the alleged West Bengal primary school recruitment scam. The questioning is part of an ongoing money laundering investigation linked to alleged irregularities in teacher recruitment.

Banerjee arrived at the ED's CGO Complex office after being summoned by the agency earlier this month. Investigators are examining the financial trail and alleged irregularities related to recruitment processes in primary schools across the state.
