India, Oct. 21 -- Ride-hailing platform Rapido has clarified that Hrithik Kumar, one of the three accused arrested in connection with the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai, had not been active as a platform captain since October 14.

Kumar, 22, was reportedly associated with Rapido as a gig worker. In a statement, the company said it was concerned about the incident and relieved that Shroff was safe. It also wished the actor a speedy recovery.

Rapido stated that Kumar had not worked as a captain on its platform for four days before the October 18 shooting. The company added that gig workers in India may be registered with multiple platforms simultaneously.
