India, Aug. 7 -- Three youths were paraded with bundles of barbed wire around their necks While the locals allegedly kicked, punched and beat them with slippers over suspicion of theft in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district on Friday, Aug 7th.

A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the men being kicked, punched and beaten with slippers by a group of people, including security guards of state-run Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), police said.

The incident took place at Iklehra township, around 30 km from Chhindwara, under the Parasia police station limits. The group suspected the three youths of stealing iron cables from a closed WCL filter plant.
