Three killed, including Nepali worker as shuttering collapses in Vrindavan
India, Aug. 21 -- Three workers, including a Nepali national, were killed and several others injured when the shuttering of a multi-storey building under construction collapsed in Vrindavan on Friday, Aug 21 police said.
The incident occurred around 7:00 a.m. at the Omaxe Mall construction site in the Rukmani Vihar area, under Vrindavan Kotwali police station limits, when workers were pouring concrete for a projecting slab on the fourth floor, mall manager R.K. Jain said.
Several workers were trapped under the debris after the shuttering collapsed, triggering panic at the site. Police and fire brigade personnel, aided by locals, launched a rescue operation and pulled out the injured before shifting them to hospitals.
