India, July 20 -- A shocking murder case has emerged from Maharashtra's Thane district, where a woman and her husband have been booked for allegedly killing the woman's lover inside their rented apartment. The crime came to light after the landlord received a voicemail from the woman in which she allegedly confessed to the murder, prompting police to investigate the locked flat.

When officers entered the apartment, they found the victim's decomposed body inside. Preliminary investigations suggest the victim had been dead for several days before the confession surfaced.
