India, May 17 -- Tension gripped Lucknow's Kaiserbagh area after lawyers protesting against a demolition drive clashed with police near the Civil Court complex. The situation escalated when police reportedly used force to control the crowd as demonstrations intensified.
The anti-encroachment operation was carried out by the Municipal Corporation as part of an effort to remove alleged illegal structures and clear public spaces around the court premises. The action was reportedly taken following directions issued by the Lucknow Bench of the High Court.
