India, Oct. 22 -- The Lokpal seeks to acquire seven high-end BMW 330 Li (Long Wheel Base) sedan for all its seven members to ride around, according to a public tender floated by the country's anti-corruption ombudsman. Each car is worth more than Rs 70 lakhs. Former Supreme Court Justice Ajay Manikrao Khanwilkar is the chairperson of the corruption watchdog.
"The Lokpal of India invites open tenders from reputed agencies for supply of seven BMW 3 series 330Li cars to the Lokpal of India," read the tender. It specified procurement of the "M Sport" model with "long wheelbase", and in white colour.
