India, May 11 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday ordered an intensified investigation into the POCSO case registered against Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar's son, directing the Director General of Police to form special teams to expedite the probe.

The Chief Minister asked C. V. Anand to explain the delay in initiating action despite the complaint being filed on May 8, according to a statement from the Chief Minister's Office.

The DGP reportedly told the Chief Minister that police personnel were engaged in security arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Hyderabad on May 10.
