India, May 4 -- Actor-turned-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has emerged as a dominant force in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2026, leading in over 100 constituencies as per early trends released by the Election Commission of India.

The TVK has delivered a strong performance across regions, particularly in northern districts such as Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram and Thiruvallur, making significant inroads into traditional strongholds of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
