India, May 5 -- Vijay arrived at the headquarters of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam in Chennai and met newly elected MLAs and party workers as the outfit emerged as the single largest party in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2026.

Marking a major shift in the state's political landscape, long dominated by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, TVK secured 107-108 seats in the 234-member Assembly. The party is now expected to explore post-poll alliances to cross the majority mark and form the government.
