India, Oct. 11 -- Three days after senior Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar shot himself at his residence in Chandigarh, his family has refused to allow the post-mortem examination until the FIR registered by Chandigarh Police is amended and State police chief Shatrujeet Singh Kapur and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarniya are arrested for abetment to suicide. Kumar's body lies at the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital in the city. Meanwhile, the Chandigarh Police has increased the security cover for Kumar's family at their official accommodation.
His wife, IAS officer Amneet P Kumar on Friday wrote to the Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police demanding immediate amendments to the FIR.
