Southwest monsoon covers entire Delhi, advances across Northern and Western India: IMD
India, July 2 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that the southwest monsoon has covered the entire National Capital Territory of Delhi and advanced further into several parts of northern and western India, bringing widespread rainfall and relief from prolonged heat and humidity.
The monsoon has also progressed across parts of Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, marking a significant expansion of the rainy season.
According to the IMD, favourable atmospheric conditions are expected to help the monsoon advance into the remaining parts of northwestern India over the next two to three days.
